This blog started as a 'Lenten Writing Project', where we wrote each day in Lent. Now that Summer is here, let's keep up the discipline of writing with a weekly writing challenge! A prompt will be posted each week and anyone is welcome to join in and post their writing here or participate just by reading it.

Every writer has their own special light to add to this blog and all of your writing offerings are appreciated, whether poetry, prose, essay, thoughts, lists or comments and encouragement.

How to Post

1.) Click on ‘comments’ at the end of the prompt

2.) Add your work in the comments box and select ‘anonymous’ from the drop-down box above (don’t forget to put your name at the end of your writing piece though! Or you can comment as a different user - anonymous is just the easiest way.)

3.) You’ll have to “prove you’re not a robot” by writing the words you see and then select the option to publish your comment

NOTE: the comments capacity is 4,500 characters per comment (approximately 1 word doc page) If your piece is larger than that, just divide it up into two (or more) comments and post both. We really want to read what you have!
